Super Eagles midfielder Fisayo Dele-Bashiru featured for Lazio in Sunday's Serie A fixture, but could not prevent his side from falling to a 2-0 defeat against Roma.

Lazio brought Dele-Bashiru off the bench in the 62nd minute, replacing Kenneth Taylor, as the visitors looked to turn the tide in their favour. The Nigerian, now in his 23rd appearance for the club this season, has yet to register a goal or an assist in the campaign.

Roma had already broken the deadlock before Dele-Bashiru's introduction, with Mancini heading his side in front in the 40th minute with a well-taken finish that delighted the home supporters. The defender then doubled his tally in the 66th minute, putting the result beyond doubt.

Lazio pushed to find a consolation in the closing stages, but Roma held firm to claim all three points and send their city rivals home empty-handed.
