Michael O'Neill Signs Four-Year Extension as Northern Ireland Manager

الأسبوع الماضي·1 min

Michael O'Neill has committed his future to Northern Ireland, signing a four-year contract extension that will keep him in charge of the national side until 2032.

The 56-year-old's position had attracted uncertainty in recent months after he took on an interim role at Blackburn Rovers in February, juggling club duties alongside his international responsibilities. That situation was resolved earlier this month when it was confirmed he would not be pursuing the Blackburn post on a permanent basis.

O'Neill is Northern Ireland's most experienced manager, having taken charge in a record 104 games. His tenure includes the country's first major tournament appearance in 30 years — the 2016 European Championship.
