أغلق حارس مرمى Super Eagles، أماس أوباسوغي، أبواب عودته إلى Bendel Insurance بتوقيع عقد مدته عام واحد مع النادي المنافس في Nigeria Premier Football League، ومقره Benin City.

عودة رسمية إلى الديار

أعلن النادي عن الصفقة عبر حسابه الرسمي على منصة X يوم الاثنين، واصفاً الأمر بأنه لمّ شمل مع لاعب كان يرتدي شارة القيادة في السابق. وكتب النادي: «Back where it all began، العائد الآن هو الحارس السابق للفريق وحارس Super Eagles، Amas Obasogie، الذي يوقع عقداً لمدة عام. Welcome home, Amas. The story continues.»

غادر أوباسوغي، البالغ من العمر 26 عاماً، Bendel Insurance عام 2024 ليلتحق بنادي Fasil Kenema Sport Club في Ethiopian Premier League، ثم انتقل بعد ذلك إلى Singida Black Stars في Tanzanian Premier League، قبل أن يقرر العودة إلى صفوف الأبطال المزدوجين في النيجيريا.

رسالة أوباسوغي إلى الجماهير

لم يُخفِ الحارس بهجته، إذ توجه إلى Instagram شارحاً كيف أسهمت رحلته بعيداً عن Bendel Insurance في صقل شخصيته. وكتب: «Back to where part of my journey began. Sometimes, life takes you away so you can grow, learn, and become stronger.»

وأضاف: «Today, I'm grateful for the opportunity to return to my former team, not just as a player, but with more experience, hunger, and determination. I'm ready to give my all for the badge, the team, and the supporters. Back home, back to work. Let the journey continue.»

وداع مؤثر لـ Singida Black Stars

خصص أوباسوغي أيضاً كلمات وداع حارة لـ Singida Black Stars، معترفاً بما منحه إياه النادي التنزاني. وقال: «It has been an honour to wear this badge and represent this great team. The memories, challenges, victories, and friendships I gained here will always remain special to me.»

وتابع: «Though my journey with the club is coming to an end, Singida Black Stars will always have a special place in my heart. I wish the club nothing but success and greater achievements in the future. Once a star, always a star.»

ميدالية برونزية في كأس الأمم الأفريقية

كان أوباسوغي ضمن قائمة Super Eagles التي حصدت الميدالية البرونزية في Africa Cup of Nations 2025 بالمغرب، مضيفاً إلى سجله الاحترافي اعترافاً قارياً لافتاً. وقد شارك مرة واحدة مع المنتخب الوطني الذي توّج بلقب أفريقي ثلاث مرات.
