Chelle Urges Super Eagles to Raise Their Game After Zimbabwe Win

Nigeria head coach Éric Chelle has called on his players to sharpen up despite guiding the Super Eagles to a convincing 2-0 victory over Zimbabwe in the semi-final of the Unity Cup at The Valley in London on Tuesday night.
Femi Azeez was the standout performer of the evening, scoring both goals to send Nigeria into the final. The 24-year-old Millwall FC forward opened the scoring inside 5 minutes, finishing off a flowing team move with a powerful left-footed strike that goalkeeper Future Sibanda could not keep out.
Azeez completed his brace in the 62nd minute, again benefiting from a sharp team move. Philip Otele found Terem Moffi, who slipped the ball through to Azeez in the penalty area, and the Championship striker made no mistake. Moffi had also provided the assist for the opening goal, underlining his influence throughout the match.
Alhassan Yusuf, Tochukwu Nnadi, and Otele all came close to adding to Nigeria's tally before the final whistle, but the Super Eagles had to settle for the two-goal margin.
Chelle's post-match message
Despite the comfortable win, Chelle pulled no punches in his assessment of the performance when speaking to reporters after the game.
