Zimbabwe captain Marvelous Nakamba says morale in the Warriors camp is high as the side gear up to face Nigeria's Super Eagles in the semi-finals of the 2026 Unity Cup in London on Tuesday.

The two nations meet in the first semi-final of the tournament, with the winner advancing to face either India or Jamaica in the final.

Recent history between the sides

Nigeria and Zimbabwe are no strangers to each other. Their most recent meeting came on matchday 6 of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying campaign, a 1-1 draw played in Uyo. In the reverse fixture in Kigali, a Kelechi Iheanacho strike earned the Super Eagles another 1-1 stalemate. Tuesday's clash offers both sides a chance to settle the score on a neutral stage.

Nakamba, who featured for Championship club Sheffield Wednesday last season, struck an upbeat tone in a brief video interview posted on the Zimbabwe Football Association's official X account.
