Representatives from FIFA's 211 Member Associations have gathered in Miami, United States, for the FIFA Executive Football Summits 2026, held on the sidelines of the FIFA World Cup 2026 as the tournament unfolds across Canada, Mexico, and the United States.
FIFA Secretary General Mattias Grafström opened the plenary session by framing the summit's twin goals: structured discussions on youth development and strategy, combined with the kind of informal idea-sharing that has defined the event in previous years.
FIFA Forward funding rises by twenty percent
The centrepiece of the agenda was the FIFA Forward Programme, FIFA's flagship development initiative. FIFA President Gianni Infantino used the occasion to highlight how dramatically funding has grown over the past decade.
