Newcastle United are in discussions with Osasuna over a move for Spain winger Victor Munoz, as the club push to address the gap left by Anthony Gordon's departure.
Gordon joined Barcelona for £69.3m, and Newcastle have identified the 22-year-old Munoz as their primary target to fill the void. No agreement has been reached yet, though Osasuna have set a release clause of 40 million euros (£34.5m) for the rapid forward.
The Magpies have already moved decisively this summer, securing goalkeeper Ewen Jaouen from Stade de Reims for £18.5m. Head coach Eddie Howe signalled the club's intent back in May:
