Spain Face Peru in Final World Cup Warmup — How to Watch Live

-3 d·2 min

The reigning European champions Spain conclude their pre-tournament preparations against Peru on Tuesday 9 June 2026, with kick-off scheduled for 3:00am BST / 8:00am ET at Estadio Cuauhtemoc in Puebla City, Mexico.

Where to watch Peru vs Spain

Spanish viewers can catch the match free-to-air on RTVE La 1, while fans in France have a free option through L'Equipe Live Foot. In the UK, the game is available on Amazon Prime Video as a pay-per-view for as little as £2.99 — no Prime subscription required.

US audiences can follow Spanish-language coverage on Fox Sports 2. The simplest way to access FS2 is through Fox One, which offers a 3-day free trial and monthly plans from $19.99. Fox One will carry every match of the 2026 World Cup. Sling TV and Fubo are alternative cord-cutting options for Fox Sports 2 in the US.

In Australia, Stan Sport holds the broadcast rights and streams the game live. Stan Sport costs AU$32 per month and also carries every Premier League, Champions League, and Europa League fixture.

Form and team news

Spain's build-up has been far from smooth. Luis de la Fuente's side were held to a 1-1 draw by Iraq in their most recent outing — a result that followed an earlier surprise draw against Egypt — meaning this final warmup carries added pressure.

De la Fuente rested key players including Pedri, Rodri, and Mikel Oyarzabal against Iraq to avoid unnecessary injury risk ahead of the tournament. Teenage star Lamine Yamal, still recovering from a hamstring injury sustained in late April, is also expected to miss the Peru fixture.

Peru, coached by Mano Menezes, arrive having missed out on the 2026 World Cup after a wretched CONMEBOL qualifying campaign — finishing ninth out of ten teams and winning only 2 of their 18 matches. However, there are signs of a revival: Menezes's side drew 2-2 with Honduras and beat Haiti 2-1 most recently, coming from behind on both occasions with late goals. Their only defeat in their past four games was a 2-0 loss to Senegal in March.

FourFourTwo predict Spain to edge the contest 2-1, with Peru snatching an early lead before the European champions find a way through.
