The FIFA World Cup 2026 will present law enforcement across the United States with a security challenge unlike anything seen before, according to Andrew Giuliani, executive director of the White House FIFA World Cup 2026 Task Force.

Speaking to ESPN, Giuliani pointed to the sheer scale and scope of this summer's tournament as the driving force behind those concerns — while stressing that the nation's law enforcement agencies are fully committed to the task ahead.

"Leaning in," was how Giuliani described the posture of American law enforcement as preparations for the tournament intensify.
