Pickford makes history
Jordan Pickford, who had faced criticism for his form earlier in the tournament, delivered the finest display of his England career at the Azteca. He produced two outstanding saves from Jimenez in the first half before commanding his area through Mexico's intense late pressure.
Pickford equalled Peter Shilton's record of 17 World Cup appearances and will break it when England face Norway.
