Players and officials of Rangers International have received a ₦150 million reward package from the Enugu State Government after the club claimed a historic ninth Nigeria Premier Football League title during the 2025/2026 season.

Rangers topped the final standings with 68 points, finishing one point ahead of second-placed Rivers United and eight points clear of third-placed Shooting Stars SC to secure the championship.

Governor Mbah's reward breakdown

Enugu State Governor Dr. Peter Mbah announced the reward package to honour the Coal City Flying Antelopes' achievement. Of the total ₦150 million, ₦100 million will be shared among the players, while the technical crew and backroom staff will divide the remaining ₦50 million.

Beyond the cash prize, Governor Mbah allocated a plot of land to every player who contributed to the title-winning campaign. All players and management staff are expected to receive their Certificates of Occupancy from the following week, as part of the state government's commitment to recognising excellence.

A tradition of honouring champions

This marks the second time in a decade that Rangers have been rewarded with cash and land by the Enugu State Government following a league triumph. In 2016, then-Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi presented each player in the Flying Antelopes squad with a plot of land after the club won the 2015/2016 NPFL title. Ugwuanyi also waived all land title processing fees for the victorious squad at the time.

The latest reward underscores a sustained tradition in Enugu of celebrating the club's success at the highest level of Nigerian football.
