Real Madrid presidential candidate Enrique Riquelme has confirmed that Jurgen Klopp will be his first choice to take charge at the Bernabeu, should he defeat incumbent president Florentino Perez in Sunday's election.

In a formal statement, Riquelme's office acknowledged that Klopp has publicly insisted he has no immediate desire to return to management and has already turned down several approaches. Nevertheless, they argued that Real Madrid represents a unique proposition no other club can match.
