World Cup 2026 Group C: Scotland, Brazil, Morocco, and Haiti Battle for Qualification

Group C of the FIFA World Cup 2026 brings together four-time champions Brazil, African giants Morocco, Caribbean underdogs Haiti, and a Scotland side ending a 28-year absence from football's greatest stage.
Scotland's historic return
Scotland last appeared at a World Cup in 1998, and manager Steve Clarke leads a squad determined to make the wait worthwhile. Their campaign opens against Haiti on Sunday June 14 (2am BST) in Foxborough, before clashes with Morocco on Friday June 19 (11pm BST) and Brazil on Wednesday June 24 (11pm BST) in Miami.
Clarke's squad features Liverpool captain Andy Robertson and Napoli midfielder Scott McTominay among its most recognisable names, with Aston Villa's John McGinn providing creative thrust in the middle of the park.
Brazil — the tournament favourites
Under manager Carlo Ancelotti, Brazil arrive as one of the competition's most-watched sides. They open Group C against Morocco on Saturday June 13 (11pm BST) in New Jersey, then take on Haiti on Saturday June 20 (1:30am BST) in Philadelphia, before concluding the group stage against Scotland.
Real Madrid forward Vinicius Junior leads a formidable attack that also includes Barcelona's Raphinha, Manchester United's Matheus Cunha, and a returning Neymar — now back at boyhood club Santos. In goal, Alisson anchors a defence built around Marquinhos and Arsenal centre-back Gabriel.
Morocco — Africa's standard-bearers
Morocco, who reached the semi-finals at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, arrive under new manager Mohamed Ouahbi with every intention of going even further. Paris Saint-Germain's Achraf Hakimi marshals the right flank, while the midfield features Sofyan Amrabat and the highly rated Ayyoub Bouaddi of Lille.
Their fixtures pit them against Brazil first, then Scotland, and finally Haiti on Wednesday June 24 (11pm BST) in Atlanta. A strong squad drawn from clubs across Europe and the Middle East makes Morocco a genuine threat in this group.
Haiti — the group's wildcard
Managed by Sebastien Migne, Haiti represent the tournament's romantic story in Group C. Their squad draws heavily from European football's lower tiers, with Jean-Ricner Bellegarde of Wolverhampton Wanderers and Wilson Isidor of Sunderland among the more prominent names.
Haiti open against Scotland in Foxborough, face Brazil in Philadelphia, and close out the group stage against Morocco in Atlanta. Qualification from this group would rank among the tournament's great upsets.
