Rangers are set to send midfielder Thelo Aasgaard to Anderlecht on loan, while the Ibrox club have rejected a bid from Besiktas for fellow midfielder Nicolas Raskin.

Aasgaard, who has contributed one goal in five appearances this season, will travel to Brussels for a medical after Rangers accepted Anderlecht's offer for the 24-year-old Norway international. It remains unclear whether Anderlecht will hold an option to sign him permanently or whether any permanent move would be obligatory at the end of the loan.

The midfielder joined Rangers from Luton in 2025 and is contracted to the club until 2029.

Raskin bid rejected

Raskin has attracted persistent transfer interest following an impressive World Cup campaign, but Rangers have turned down Besiktas' approach for the Belgium international. The 25-year-old has been absent from the squad for Rangers' last two matches as speculation around his future has grown.

Manager Derek McInnes moved to reassure supporters, insisting Raskin had conducted himself impeccably throughout the uncertainty.

"Until an offer comes in that the club need to consider, Nico just has to knuckle down and train," McInnes said. "I've no doubts that, if the window closes and Nico's still a Rangers player, he'll give brilliant service as he's done previously. He's getting interest because he's a good player. I want to work with good players. We just need to wait and see how things develop."
