Dapo Afolayan has declared himself in peak condition and eager to make his mark at Blackburn Rovers as the club prepares for the 2026–27 EFL Championship campaign.

The winger arrived at Ewood Park in January 2026 from St. Pauli but endured an inconsistent debut half-season, making only eight appearances. Now fully fit and settled, Afolayan is targeting a regular place in the starting lineup under manager Tony Mowbray, whose tactical approach he says suits his style of play.

Speaking to Rovers TV, Afolayan stressed that preseason has sharpened the entire squad and that competitive football cannot come soon enough for him or his teammates.
