Africa's football leaders are set to gather on Sal Island, Cabo Verde, from 7 to 9 October 2026 for the CAF Strategy Conference — a pivotal two-day event that will shape the future direction of football across the continent.

CAF President Dr Patrice Motsepe and FIFA President Gianni Infantino are among the high-profile figures expected to attend, alongside presidents of CAF's 54 Member Associations, Zonal Unions, members of the CAF Executive Committee, and senior coaches from all 54 African nations.

Reflecting on the World Cup and continental competitions

The conference will serve as a platform for both administrators and technical experts to assess Africa's performance at the FIFA World Cup 2026 and review the outcomes of recent CAF competitions. International football experts are also expected to contribute to the discussions.
