Amad Diallo has declared that Côte d'Ivoire still hold their fate in their own hands at the FIFA World Cup 2026, even after the Elephants fell to a narrow 2-1 defeat against Germany in Group E.

The Ivorian side made Germany fight for every moment, conceding only to a late winner despite entering the match with momentum from their opening win over Ecuador. The result, however, means Côte d'Ivoire must now secure a favourable outcome against Curacao in their final group fixture to keep their knockout-stage hopes alive.
