Brazil head coach Carlo Ancelotti has expressed his full confidence in José Mourinho, predicting that the returning Real Madrid manager will bring more trophies to the club during his second spell at the Santiago Bernabéu.

Ancelotti, speaking to Real Madrid's official website, described his relationship with Mourinho as a long-standing friendship built on mutual respect, with the two veteran coaches regularly exchanging ideas and messages.

"I'm happy he's here. He can take advantage of this great club, which he knows very well. He's going to do very well," Ancelotti said. "José is a great manager and I'm convinced he's going to do a very good job here."

Positive signs in early performances

Ancelotti acknowledged that Real Madrid encountered some difficulties in their opening fixture, but noted that the team quickly found their footing, pointing to an impressive display against Real Sociedad as evidence of the squad's growing momentum.

"It's all started very well. They had difficulties in the first match, but little by little the team played better, with a great performance against Real Sociedad," he added.

Big tests ahead in La Liga and the Champions League

With a demanding run of fixtures on the horizon, Ancelotti believes Real Madrid are well-equipped for the challenges to come. The club faces a key La Liga encounter against Real Betis before turning their attention to the UEFA Champions League.

"Now the important matches begin in La Liga against Betis and then in the Champions League. I think the team are well prepared with new signings who will contribute a lot. It's going to be a great season for Real Madrid," Ancelotti concluded.
