Arsenal Eye Club Brugge's Christos Tzolis in £35m Summer Push

Arsenal are weighing up a move for Club Brugge and Greece international forward Christos Tzolis, with the club's sporting director Andrea Berta driving the process and sources confirming the interest is concrete.

Recruitment specialist Maurizio Micheli travelled to Sweden last week to watch Tzolis in person, a sign that Arsenal's pursuit has moved beyond the exploratory stage. Manager Mikel Arteta is understood to be fully supportive of bringing the 24-year-old to the club.

A £35m target with a proven record

Tzolis is expected to be available for around £35m. Crystal Palace attempted to sign him last summer but could not get a deal over the line, leaving the path open for other clubs.

Arsenal have identified a new attacker as their foremost transfer objective this summer. Alongside Tzolis, they hold a genuine interest in Aston Villa forward Morgan Rogers, highlighting the depth of ambition in their recruitment.

From PAOK to Belgium via Germany

Tzolis began his career at PAOK before a move to England, where he made 30 appearances for Norwich between 2021 and 2024, scoring three goals. His time at Carrow Road was underwhelming, but he found his best form in the second tier of German football with Fortuna Dusseldorf — netting 22 goals in 30 league matches.

That prolific run earned him a switch to Club Brugge, where he has continued to thrive. Across two seasons for the Belgian side, Tzolis has scored 33 goals, helping the club claim their 20th league title last term.
