In a separate move, Manchester City have turned their attention to Everton's Iliman Ndiaye, 26, as a potential attacking-midfield addition. However, Everton are holding firm on a valuation of around £80m for the Senegal international, per The Guardian.

Leao race intensifies

Aston Villa have moved decisively in the pursuit of AC Milan winger Rafael Leao, 27, making direct contact with both club and player. Villa are now in a head-to-head contest with Galatasaray to secure the Portugal international's signature, according to Fabrizio Romano.

Nottingham Forest have lodged a bid worth up to £22m for Crystal Palace wing-back Daniel Munoz, 30, the Colombia international, per The Athletic.

Atletico eye Jesus duo
