Arsenal have secured a pre-contract with Northern Irish teenage goalkeeper Phoenix Blayney, beating Liverpool to the signature of the Larne prospect, according to a report by the Belfast Telegraph.
The news was confirmed by Phoenix's father, Alex Blayney — a former Northern Irish goalkeeper himself — who revealed that his son will join the Gunners on professional terms when he turns 17 in November 2027. Alex Blayney noted that Liverpool were also in the running before Arsenal won out.
