Arsenal's bold talk of mounting a Premier League title challenge has yet to translate into convincing performances on the pitch, with the reigning champions delivering a toothless attacking display in their visit to Nottingham Forest.

The Gunners, who carried hopes of reclaiming the top flight's biggest prize, looked far from their sharpest in what proved to be a frustrating outing against Forest. Their forward play lacked the incision and urgency required to unsettle a well-organised opponent.

It is a troubling sign for a side that has spoken publicly about approaching this season's title race with aggression and intent. For now, the gap between Arsenal's words and their actions remains all too visible.
