Arteta Commits to Arsenal's Winning Era With New Long-Term Contract

Mikel Arteta has signed a new long-term contract at Arsenal, ending any uncertainty about his future at the Emirates Stadium. The 44-year-old's previous deal, agreed in September 2024, had been due to expire next summer.
Arteta arrived at Arsenal in 2019 and has since become the longest-serving manager in English football's top four leagues. His tenure has produced a remarkable transformation — culminating in the club's first Premier League title in 22 years last season, after three consecutive runners-up finishes.
He also steered the Gunners to only their second UEFA Champions League final, a match they lost on penalties to Paris Saint-Germain, and his trophy cabinet at Arsenal includes an FA Cup and three Community Shields.
Arteta's words on his new deal
Speaking in an official club statement, Arteta expressed deep gratitude for the opportunity to continue at Arsenal.
