Super Eagles head coach Éric Chelle has shuffled his starting eleven in three positions for Nigeria's 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying Matchday 2 encounter against Guinea-Bissau.

Stanley Nwabali keeps his place between the posts after a steady display in the Eagles' 2-1 win over Madagascar on Matchday 1. The defensive unit sees one adjustment: Bright Osayi-Samuel comes in at right-back in place of Ola Aina, while Semi Ajayi, Calvin Bassey, and Bruno Onyemaechi all retain their starting berths.

In midfield, captain Wilfred Ndidi lines up alongside Frank Onyeka and Alex Iwobi, with Samuel Chukwueze dropping to the bench after featuring in the previous fixture.

Awoniyi leads the line

The most notable change comes in attack, where Taiwo Awoniyi is restored to the starting XI. He replaces George Ilenikhena — the teenage forward who marked his Super Eagles debut with a goal against Madagascar — as Nigeria's central striker.

Awoniyi will operate alongside Ademola Lookman and Akor Adams in the front three, giving Chelle a dynamic and experienced attacking trio as the Eagles chase a second consecutive victory in the qualifying campaign.

A win tonight would put Nigeria in a commanding position in their qualifying group ahead of the remaining fixtures.
