BBC Confirms Broadcast Team for Canada vs Bosnia & Herzegovina at World Cup 2026

2 hours ago·1 min

The BBC has confirmed the on-air team for the World Cup 2026 Group Stage clash between Canada and Bosnia & Herzegovina — a fixture that marks the first time Canada have ever hosted a match at the FIFA World Cup.

The game, to be played at BMO Field, represents a landmark moment for Jesse Marsch's side as the co-hosts open their tournament campaign on home soil.

Logan leads the BBC coverage

Gabby Logan will present the BBC's coverage of the match. Logan, who has been a permanent host of Match of the Day since last season, is one of British television's most recognisable faces during major international tournaments.

She will be joined in the studio by two well-known figures from the English game. Micah Richards, a familiar BBC pundit and Sky Sports personality, will serve as an expert analyst for the fixture. Richards built his career largely at Manchester City and represented Team GB at the 2012 Olympics, though a World Cup appearance eluded him as a player.

Giroud steps into the pundit's chair

Richards will be joined on the punditry panel by Olivier Giroud, who makes his first appearance as a television pundit at a World Cup. Giroud is celebrated as France's all-time leading scorer — a record he claimed at World Cup 2022.

Kick-off at BMO Field is set for 8pm UK time.
