Boehly and Walter Eye Chelsea Stake Sale to Clearlake Capital in £5bn Deal

Todd Boehly and Mark Walter, co-owners of Chelsea, are reportedly open to selling their stakes in the club to majority shareholders Clearlake Capital — a transaction that would value Chelsea at more than £5 billion, according to The Telegraph, The Guardian, and The Sun.

Such a deal would hand the American private equity firm complete control at Stamford Bridge, consolidating ownership under a single entity. The club is said to be experiencing off-field turmoil as the ownership saga continues to develop.

City eye Bouaddi and face huge Fernandez bill

Manchester City are closing in on Lille midfielder Ayyoub Bouaddi, rated at £85 million, with reports from The Times and ESPN suggesting a deal could be completed within days. City's move follows their agreement to sell Rodri to Barcelona.

However, City face a steep price to further bolster their midfield. According to The Telegraph, they would need to spend more than £120 million to prise Enzo Fernandez from Chelsea in the final weeks of the transfer window.

Fernandes attracting European interest

Manchester United midfielder Bruno Fernandes is drawing attention from across Europe. Galatasaray are prepared to double his current wages in an effort to bring him to Turkey, The Telegraph reports.
