Bournemouth Match Liverpool's Historic European Record with Four Straight Wins

Bournemouth have etched their name into European football history, defeating Sparta Prague 3-1 on the road on Thursday night to become only the second English club to win each of their first four matches in major European competition.
According to Opta, Bournemouth join Liverpool — who achieved that feat back in 1964 — as the only English sides to claim four wins from four in the opening matches of a major European campaign, including the Fairs Cup era.
A perfect start to European football
The Cherries launched their debut in the UEFA Europa League with a 2-1 victory away at Real Sociedad, then followed it up with a commanding 3-0 home triumph over Sturm Graz on matchday two.
Matchday three brought perhaps the most eye-catching result of all — a 3-0 dismantling of AC Milan, a club with seven UEFA Champions League titles to their name. Thursday's 3-1 win at Sparta Prague sealed a flawless group phase record of four victories from four.
Seventh straight win in all competitions
The victory in Prague also extended Bournemouth's remarkable run of form across all competitions to seven consecutive wins. During that streak, they have swept aside Manchester United 3-0, Aston Villa 3-0, and Leeds United 2-0 in the Premier League.
Bournemouth currently sit eighth in the Premier League table with 12 points. They return to domestic action on Sunday, travelling to face Ipswich Town.
