Brighton Table £30m Bid for Vuskovic as Spurs Chase Van Hecke

Brighton & Hove Albion have submitted a £30 million offer for Tottenham Hotspur teenager Luka Vuskovic, as the transfer market heats up ahead of the window's June 15 opening.

The 19-year-old centre-back is currently representing Croatia at the FIFA World Cup 2026, having cemented his reputation as one of European football's most exciting young defenders during a loan spell at Hamburg last season.

Vuskovic's Bundesliga breakthrough

Vuskovic's performances in Germany were nothing short of remarkable. He scored six league goals — more than any other central defender in the Bundesliga — and was rewarded with a place in the league's team of the season.

Tottenham Hotspur originally agreed his transfer from Croatian club Hajduk Split in the summer of 2023, with Vuskovic formally joining the Premier League club last summer before heading to Hamburg on loan.

Spurs in pursuit of Van Hecke

While Brighton seek to bolster their defensive options with Vuskovic, Tottenham Hotspur have their own centre-back ambitions. Manager Roberto De Zerbi is targeting Brighton defender Jan Paul van Hecke, a player the Italian coached during his time at Brighton.
