CAF Confederation Cup 2026/27 Group Stage Draw Sets Up Blockbuster Clashes

The group stage draw for the TotalEnergies CAF Confederation Cup 2026/27 took place in Cairo, Egypt, on Wednesday, 28 October 2026, pitting some of the continent's biggest clubs against one another across four compelling groups.
Group A: giants collide
The headline clash of the draw sees Egyptian heavyweights Al Ahly square off against Moroccan titans Raja Casablanca in Group A. ASKO Kara of Togo and Angola's Primeiro Agosto complete a section that promises to be among the most fiercely contested of the tournament.
Group B: Moroccan power meets East African flair
Royal Armed Forces of Morocco head Group B, where they will face Tanzanian outfit Azam FC, Libya's Al Ahly Tripoli, and South Africa's Durban City. The group blends North African quality with East African ambition and Southern African resolve.
Group C: one spot still to be decided
Group C is not yet complete. CR Belouizdad of Algeria, AS Douanes of Mauritania, and Guinea's Hafia are all still in contention for one remaining berth. Whoever secures it will join DR Congo's Maniema Union, Tanzania's Singida Black Stars, and Zambia's Red Arrows.
Group D: a North African rivalry renewed
Group D offers a mouth-watering North African duel between Algeria's USM Alger and Tunisia's CS Sfaxien — two clubs steeped in continental history. Mozambique's Black Bulls and Mali's Real Bamako round out a balanced and intriguing section.

The group stage kicks off on the weekend of 27–29 November 2026, with the final round of matches scheduled for the end of January 2027. The top two sides from each group will advance to the quarter-finals in February 2027.
