The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has praised Nigeria winger Moses Usor for a breathtaking debut goal in the Super Eagles' opening 2027 AFCON qualifier against Madagascar in Uyo.

Usor entered the fray as a substitute for Samuel Chukwueze in the 61st minute, and needed fewer than five minutes to make his mark. Collecting the ball deep in his own half, he drove forward along the left flank, weaved past two defenders inside the penalty area, and buried a composed left-footed strike to put Nigeria 2-1 ahead in the 65th minute.

It was a remarkable effort for any player, let alone one making their international bow — a solo run that showcased his pace, balance, and composure in front of goal.
