CAF to Unite All Six Zonal Unions in Cairo for Strategic Governance Workshop

The Confédération Africaine de Football (CAF) will convene the leadership and management teams of all six of its Zonal Unions in Cairo on 27 and 28 October 2026 for the Annual Zonal Union Tactical Workshop — a gathering designed to sharpen strategic alignment and drive measurable delivery across African football.
Collectively, the six Zonal Unions represent all 54 of CAF's Member Associations, making the two-day workshop a continent-wide exercise in coordinated planning and institutional development.
Four pillars at the core
The workshop will be structured around four strategic pillars: Football Development, Programmes and Projects for Capacity Building, Administration, and Competition Management. These pillars will guide discussions as participants develop practical implementation plans for the 2027–2028 period, setting clear objectives, measurable targets, and defined lines of accountability.
Delegates will review the current state of their respective Zones, pinpoint areas demanding greater focus, clarify the distinct roles of CAF, the Zonal Unions, and the Member Associations, and agree on priority actions to lift performance across the continent.
