Confederation of African Football president Patrice Motsepe has signalled that a return to a biennial Africa Cup of Nations schedule is under active consideration, raising hopes that the tournament's four-year cycle — introduced only recently — could be reversed.
Motsepe made the announcement at a CAF strategy conference held in Cape Verde on Friday, drawing enthusiastic applause from delegates in attendance.
