The Confédération Africaine de Football has confirmed that the group stage draw for both the TotalEnergies CAF Champions League 2026/27 and the TotalEnergies CAF Confederation Cup 2026/27 will be held in Cairo on Wednesday, 28 October 2026.

The ceremony will take place at the Egypt Football Association headquarters, with the TotalEnergies CAF Confederation Cup draw scheduled first at 14:00 Cairo time (11:00 GMT), followed by the TotalEnergies CAF Champions League draw at 15:00 Cairo time (12:00 GMT).

Sixteen clubs in each competition

A total of 16 qualified clubs in each competition will learn their group stage opponents on the day. The clubs will be distributed across four groups of four, with the group stage itself set to kick off in November 2026.

The draws will determine the shape of the race for African club football's most coveted honours — two competitions that sit at the pinnacle of continental club football on the continent.
