Carrick Calls for Calm After Manchester United's Shock Defeat to Hull City

1 hour ago·1 min

Manchester United manager Michael Carrick urged those around the club not to panic following a sobering 2-0 home defeat to newly-promoted Hull City on Saturday, insisting that shouting and screaming was not the answer.

The result was a humbling setback for United, who were beaten by a side that has only just returned to the top flight. Carrick, however, refused to allow the mood inside the camp to spiral into alarm.

Speaking after the final whistle, the United head coach made clear he would not overreact to the defeat, preferring instead to keep a level head as his side look to respond in the matches ahead.
