Celtic closing in on Hogh

The Scottish champions have held advanced talks with Bodo/Glimt over the £7m-rated 25-year-old Danish striker, with transfer insider Gianluca Di Marzio reporting a deal is close. Hogh sat out Thursday's match as an unused substitute — a 3-0 Norwegian league win over HamKam — amid reports Celtic have had the player on their radar since January.

Maeda on his way to Ipswich Town

Daizen Maeda arrived in London on Thursday to complete a medical ahead of a £10m move to Ipswich Town. The 28-year-old's departure from Celtic is expected to be confirmed as early as Friday, according to the Daily Record.

Danilo set for Botafogo loan

Rangers striker Danilo has touched down in Brazil and is due to undergo a medical on Friday to finalise a loan move to Botafogo. The 27-year-old's temporary switch marks a significant development in Rangers' summer squad reshaping.

Celtic's summer business does not end there. The club are yet to meet Paderborn's asking price for 22-year-old midfielder Mika Baur after submitting a £4m bid — and Paderborn, newly promoted to the Bundesliga, would rather let him leave on a free transfer next summer than sell below their valuation.
