Celtic have held what are described as constructive talks with former Republic of Ireland striker Robbie Keane regarding the club's managerial vacancy, with further discussions between the two parties expected to take place this week, according to Sky Sports.

Principal shareholder Dermot Desmond is also set to speak with interim manager Martin O'Neill to determine whether the former Celtic boss has any desire to continue at the club in some capacity.

Rangers eye Swedish right-back

Across the city, Rangers have made direct contact with representatives of Hampus Skoglund, the right-back currently contracted to Swedish club Hammarby. Skoglund has three years remaining on his deal at Hammarby.

West Ham circle Celtic and Hibernian targets

West Ham United, preparing for life in the Championship next season, have made an initial enquiry for Hibernian midfielder Josh Mulligan, 23, according to Ben Jacobs.

The London club are also keeping tabs on Celtic centre-forward Callum Osmand, who is 20 years old, though TransferFeed reports that the Scottish champions are unlikely to sanction a departure for the young striker.

Toronto in Rangers loan talks

Toronto are in active discussions with Rangers over the future of midfielder Jose Cifuentes, 27, whose loan spell at the Canadian club is due to expire at the end of this month, according to the Record.
