Samuel Chukwueze kicked off the new Serie A season in style, contributing an assist as AC Milan claimed a 2-1 away victory over Torino on Sunday.

The Nigerian winger started the match and played the full 90 minutes under manager Ruben Amorim, demonstrating his importance to the squad from the opening weekend.

How the goals fell

Alphadjo Cisse broke the deadlock in the 64th minute, giving AC Milan a 1-0 lead. Three minutes later, Chukwueze turned provider, teeing up Adrien Rabiot to double the advantage and make it 2-0 in the 67th minute.

Torino refused to go quietly, with Che Adams pulling one back deep into stoppage time in the 93rd minute — but the strike amounted to nothing more than a consolation, as AC Milan held on to secure all three points.
