Chukwueze Ready to Thrive in Wing-Back Role at AC Milan

Samuel Chukwueze has declared himself ready to take on a right wing-back role at AC Milan, after catching the eye in that position during the Rossoneri's opening Serie A fixture of the season.
The Nigeria international returned from a loan spell at Premier League side Fulham to play a key part in Milan's 2-1 win over Torino at the Stadio Olimpico Grande on Sunday. Chukwueze registered an assist for Milan's second goal, combining pace and energy along the right flank while also holding his defensive duties without complaint.
Chukwueze embraces new responsibilities
Speaking to DAZN after the match, Chukwueze made clear he has no reservations about the unfamiliar assignment. "I'm ready, it's my job, I'll give it my all," he said.
His willingness to adapt comes at a time when his long-term future at AC Milan has been the subject of ongoing speculation. Yet his performance at Torino offered a timely reminder of his quality, earning him the Man of the Match award.
A confident return to Italy
Chukwueze also spoke about the personal lift that came with such a positive start to the campaign. "I'm happy to be back like this, it gives me confidence," he told DAZN. "I wanted to start the season like this, I'm happy. But now that's already in the past, let's focus on the next one."
Milan's attention now turns to their next Serie A outing, a meeting with newly promoted Venezia. After a confident opening display, Chukwueze will be eager to build on his encouraging return.
