Comoros recorded their first victory in the TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations PAMOJA 2027 qualifiers on Tuesday, edging past Namibia 1-0 in a Group G Matchday Two clash.

The contest was scoreless at the break before Benjaloud Youssouf broke the deadlock in the 54th minute, delivering three points Comoros desperately needed after their 3-1 opening defeat to Cameroon.

Namibia, who had opened their campaign with a 1-0 win over Congo, pushed for an equaliser through a string of second-half substitutions but ultimately came away empty-handed.

The result reshuffles the Group G standings, with Comoros, Namibia, and Cameroon all sitting on three points — though the Indomitable Lions have one match in hand over both sides.

Cameroon's Matchday Two assignment against bottom-of-the-group Congo could see the picture shift further. Congo remain without a point and are desperate for their first win of the campaign.
