Coventry City vs Fulham: Bottom-Half Battle in the Premier League

51 minutes ago·2 min

Two of the Premier League's most troubled sides this season meet at the CBS Arena on Saturday, as Coventry City host Fulham in a fixture that carries serious weight at the foot of the table — 17th facing 18th.

How to watch

The match kicks off at 3:00pm BST and will not be broadcast in the UK, where the long-standing 3pm blackout rule prevents live coverage of Saturday afternoon fixtures. Viewers in the US can stream the game on Peacock, where kick-off is at 10:00am ET. Peacock Premium costs $12.99 per month, with annual plans available from $129.99. In Australia, Stan Sport carries the match live, with kick-off at 1:00am AEDT on Sunday morning, at a cost of AU$29.99 per month.

Supporters travelling abroad or outside their home market can use a VPN service such as Proton VPN — based in Switzerland with servers across 145 countries — to access their usual streaming platform from anywhere in the world.

Coventry City's situation

Frank Lampard's side came into this run of fixtures with genuine momentum, following back-to-back victories over Nottingham Forest and Newcastle United. That momentum stalled last Monday when Coventry City became Tottenham Hotspur's first victims of the 2026/27 campaign. A response is required.

Lampard must navigate a significant injury list. Aurele Amenda (calf), Josh Eccles (ankle), Luke Woolfenden (knee), and Haji Wright (quad) are all sidelined — with Woolfenden and Wright yet to feature this season. Midfielder Jack Rudoni enters the match in fine form, having scored in each of his last two Premier League appearances against Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur. He is expected to operate in an advanced central role, with captain Matt Grimes behind him alongside either Caleb Yirenkyi or Frank Onyeka.

Fulham's response

Álvaro Arbeloa's side finally opened their Premier League account last weekend, with Alex Iwobi's lone goal enough to beat Hull City at Craven Cottage. The victory was shadowed by Ryan Sessegnon's late red card, which rules him out for three matches. Hugo Larsson is also a doubt, carrying a groin problem into the week.

Captain Tom Cairney came off the bench against Hull City on his return from a long-term knee injury but is not expected to start ahead of Sander Berge, Shea Charles, or Joshua King. Up front, Arbeloa faces a decision over Gonzalo Garcia — who has gone six consecutive Premier League starts without a goal — and whether to hand Rodrigo Muniz a rare opportunity from the off.

Prediction

FourFourTwo predicts a 2-2 draw, with both sides desperate to add to their points tallies at this early but already anxious stage of the season.
