Crystal Palace Appoint Pierre Sage as Head Coach on Three-Year Deal

Crystal Palace have named Pierre Sage as their new head coach, signing the Frenchman to a three-year contract.

Sage, 47, takes over from Oliver Glasner, who departed Selhurst Park at the conclusion of the 2025-26 season following two and a half years at the helm of the Eagles.

The new appointment arrives fresh from a remarkable stint at Lens, where Sage spent 12 months guiding the club to a runners-up finish in Ligue 1 and a historic maiden Coupe de France title — the club's first in 120 years of existence.

Before his time at Lens, Sage served 14 months as head coach of Lyon, initially stepping in on an interim basis before taking on the role permanently. He steered Lyon to UEFA Europa League qualification during the 2024-25 campaign.
