Sebastian Desabre, head coach of DR Congo, has declared that his side will be no pushover when they face England in the Round of 16 at the FIFA World Cup 2026, despite conceding a significant gap in the world rankings between the two nations.

Desabre was candid about the difference in quality, pointing out that England sit fourth in the FIFA world rankings while DR Congo occupy 41st place. Even so, he refused to accept defeat before a ball had been kicked.
