Diomande Favours PSG Move as Liverpool Chase Stalls

Yan Diomande, the Ivory Coast winger heavily linked with Liverpool, would prefer a move to Paris Saint-Germain, with the French champions working to finalise a deal with RB Leipzig in the coming weeks.
Liverpool had a bid of £69 million, with a further £17 million in add-ons, turned down this month for the 19-year-old. RB Leipzig are believed to be holding out for approximately £129 million for a player who arrived from Spanish side Leganes last summer on a five-year contract.
Leipzig holding firm
The German club have made clear they face no financial pressure to sell Diomande, and are reportedly willing to hand him an improved contract to retain his services for at least one more season.
PSG's recruitment drive this summer is being steered by chairman Nasser Al-Khelaifi, sporting adviser Luis Campos, and manager Luis Enrique. The club are targeting one or two marquee signings to bolster a squad that claimed a second consecutive UEFA Champions League title alongside another Ligue 1 crown last season.
PSG movement in and out
Those incomings could be offset by notable departures. Striker Goncalo Ramos is expected to complete a move to AC Milan in a deal valued at around £63 million, while further exits — including midfielder Lee Kang-in and forward Randal Kolo Muani — are also anticipated.
Liverpool have also been monitoring France winger Bradley Barcola, though sources close to PSG indicate the club are eager to tie him down to a new contract rather than allow him to leave.
Liverpool's summer business so far
The Reds have already made one addition this transfer window, securing Spain winger Victor Munoz from Osasuna for £34.5 million. The deal marks the first signing under head coach Andoni Iraola, who took charge following Arne Slot's departure.
