Tonda Eckert will remain as Southampton head coach after receiving the public backing of chairman Dragan Solak, following the publication of the League Arbitration Panel's written reasons for dismissing the club's appeal against expulsion from the Championship play-offs and a four-point deduction for next season.

In an eight-minute video statement released by Southampton on Tuesday, Eckert offered an unscripted apology to supporters, players, and staff — accepting full responsibility for the club's conduct during the 2025/26 season.
