Newcastle United have confirmed that Eddie Howe has resigned as head coach, bringing an end to a tenure of nearly five years at St. James' Park.
Howe, 48, departed following a difficult campaign that saw the Magpies finish 12th in the Premier League — a result widely considered below the club's ambitions.
Despite the disappointing conclusion, his time at Newcastle United was not without its highlights. He guided the club to UEFA Champions League qualification on two separate occasions and led them to League Cup glory in the 2024-25 season.
