Egypt Cruise Into Futsal AFCON Semi-Finals With Commanding 4-0 Win Over Mozambique

Egypt are through to the semi-finals of the TotalEnergies CAF Futsal Africa Cup of Nations Morocco 2026 after a dominant 4-0 victory over Mozambique at the Moulay Abdellah Sports Hall in Rabat on Wednesday.
The Pharaohs made it two wins from two in Group B, following their opening-day demolition of Tanzania with yet another commanding performance — this time leaving Mozambique with no answer across the full 40 minutes.
Early goals set the tone
Mohamed Talaat broke the deadlock in the 8th minute, handing Egypt a lead they would never relinquish. The advantage doubled almost immediately when Mozambique defender Mario Gusta turned the ball into his own net in the 9th minute, leaving the Pharaohs in complete control at 2-0.
Mozambique pushed to find a way back before the break, but Egypt's disciplined defensive shape denied them any meaningful opportunity. The half-time scoreline remained unchanged as the Pharaohs kept their composure.
Talaat seals a brace
Egypt extended their lead further in the 31st minute when Alaa Eissa converted to make it 3-0, all but ending the contest. Talaat then wrapped up his personal brace — and Egypt's convincing win — with a 39th-minute strike to complete a 4-0 scoreline.
The result confirms Egypt's place in the last four of the tournament, continuing what has been an emphatic campaign so far in Morocco.
