While Enyimba steadied the ship, defending champions Rangers endured a miserable afternoon, falling 2-0 to Ikorodu City at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena in Onikan, Lagos. Aderemi Adeoye broke the deadlock inside eight minutes, and Ikechukwu Junior added a second goal three minutes past the hour to seal a comprehensive home win.

Plateau United rise, Abia Warriors dominate

Plateau United strengthened their position near the top of the table with a 2-0 victory over Inter Lagos at the New Jos Stadium. Gideon Monday and Jibrin Ibrahim both found the net for manager Gbenga Ogunbote's side, pushing Plateau United up to second place.

Abia Warriors produced the most emphatic result of the Matchday Six slate, routing Bendel Insurance 3-0 in Aba. Ikoi Etta put Imama Amapakabo's side ahead in the 16th minute, before veteran striker Emeka Obioma struck twice — in the 24th and 40th minutes — to seal a convincing three points for the hosts.

At the Dan Anyiam Stadium in Owerri, Kun Khalifat FC secured their first win of the campaign, edging Kwara United 1-0 through Igwe Igweuzo's decisive strike in the 64th minute.

Warri Wolves claimed a 1-0 victory over Shooting Stars, with Othuke Egbo netting the only goal of the match in the eighth minute.

Katsina United mounted a comeback to beat Doma United 2-1 at the Muhammadu Dikko Stadium. Luis Dadong converted a penalty after 12 minutes to give Katsina United the lead, but Sadiq Rilwan levelled for the visitors shortly after the half-hour mark. Mukhtar Ismail then delivered the winner 15 minutes from time to hand Katsina United all three points.
