Record nine-time Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) champions Enyimba FC have announced six players on the shortlist for the club's Fans Player of the Month award covering October.

The Aba-based side, widely known as the People's Elephant, made the announcement on Tuesday through their official X account, inviting supporters to have their say in the outcome.

The nominees are Ifeanyi Ihemekwele, Richard Ezinwa, Obichere Odinaka, Hamisu Salisu, Idris Bonni, and Emeka Onyema — each recognised for their contributions during a month in which the club worked to turn around a slow start to the 2026/27 NPFL season under coach Emmanuel Deutsch.

How fans can vote

Supporters will cast their votes through Enyimba's social media platforms, with the winner scheduled to be revealed before the club's Matchday 10 fixture against Nasarawa United on October 25 in Lafia.

In September, Enyimba ran a three-man shortlist featuring Wonah Williams, goalkeeper Dede Dare, and Chibueze Damian. Williams claimed that monthly honour, and the October edition now expands the field to six contenders.
