Chelsea are demanding a significant premium for the midfielder, underlining their determination to hold onto key assets unless clubs are willing to meet their valuation in full.

Also at Stamford Bridge, Portugal winger Pedro Neto, 26, is attracting attention from a host of clubs. Chelsea would demand close to £100m for the former Wolverhampton Wanderers man, who moved to west London for £54m in 2024. Saudi Pro League side Al-Hilal are said to be exploring a move, but they face competition from Manchester City, Arsenal, and Tottenham, all of whom are monitoring the situation, per Metro.
