CAF has confirmed an all-Ethiopian officiating team for Tuesday's 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying clash between Guinea-Bissau and Nigeria's Super Eagles, a Group L encounter that could reshape the early standings.

The match is set to kick off at 4pm local time — 5pm in Nigeria — at the Estádio Nacional 24 de Setembro in Bissau.

The officiating panel

Tewodros Mitiku will take charge as centre referee, supported by compatriots Fasika Biru Fasika and Tigle Belachew as first and second assistant referees. Manuhe Woldetsadik completes the panel as the fourth official.

Senegal's Yaya Balde has been named match commissioner, while Papa Bakary Gassama of The Gambia — a former FIFA referee — will assess the performance of the officiating crew.

Group L picture

Both sides arrive in Bissau having won their opening qualifiers. Nigeria opened their campaign with a 2-1 victory over Madagascar, while Guinea-Bissau edged Tanzania's Taifa Stars 2-0 in their first fixture.

Guinea-Bissau currently sit top of Group L on goal difference, with the Super Eagles just behind them — making Tuesday's meeting a pivotal second-round showdown between two sides yet to drop a point.
